Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and local-storage technologies KC Live uses, what they do, and how you can control them. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. "Local storage" is a similar browser feature that stores slightly larger pieces of data. Both let a site remember things between page loads — like your watchlist or the last tab you had open.
What KC Live uses
Strictly necessary
- Session token: keeps you logged in across page loads (only set if you sign in).
- CSRF token: protects form submissions from cross-site forgery.
Without these, signed-in features won't work. Public dashboard views work without them.
Preference (local storage)
kc.watchlist— the list of channels you're tracking.kc.view— which workspace you had open (Desk, Streams, Monitoring, Forecasts, Signal Lab).kc.range— last-selected chart time range (1H, 3H, 6H, All).kc.theme— if/when a theme toggle is added.
These improve the experience but the dashboard works without them.
Analytics
KC Live currently uses minimal server-side request logs only. We do not run Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracker. If that ever changes, this page will be updated and consent prompts added where required.
Advertising
KC Live shows no ads and uses no advertising cookies.
Third-party cookies
The dashboard embeds Twitch's official player when you open a stream. Twitch sets its own cookies on its own domain when that happens — see Twitch's Cookie Policy for details. We don't control those.
How to control cookies
- Clear cookies and local storage in your browser's settings
- Block third-party cookies (won't break KC Live)
- Use private/incognito mode for a no-persistence session
Changes
We'll update this policy if our cookie use changes. The "Last updated" date reflects the most recent revision.
