Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of KC Live (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 to use KC Live, matching Twitch's own minimum age.
2. Accounts
Most KC Live functionality is open — no account is required to view the dashboard. If we add accounts later, you'll be responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape KC Live in bulk, exceed reasonable request volumes, or otherwise abuse the rate limits
- Reverse-engineer the API to circumvent Twitch's own rate limits
- Use the Service to harass, dox, or surveil individual creators or viewers
- Upload malware or attempt to compromise the host infrastructure
- Republish bulk Twitch data as your own product or feed
4. Twitch Developer Terms
KC Live consumes Twitch's public Helix API and is therefore subject to the Twitch Developer Services Agreement. You agree to use any Twitch data surfaced through KC Live in a manner consistent with that agreement.
5. Intellectual property
KC Live's code is open source under the license in the GitHub repository. Stream data, creator names, and category artwork remain the property of Twitch and the respective creators. Charts and forecasts generated by KC Live are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is." Live viewer counts, forecasts, and event alerts can be wrong, late, or missing. Don't make irreversible decisions (financial, contractual, or otherwise) based on KC Live output — see the Disclaimer for more.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KC Live and its maintainers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months — which, given this is a free open-source project, is zero.
8. Termination
You can stop using KC Live any time. We can suspend access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the project.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as KC Live evolves. Material changes will be noted with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, unless your local law requires otherwise.
